Glades Media decided in the late 90's to expand to the Florida Keys by building 101.7 WKYZ. WKYZ serves the Florida Keys with 100,000 watts of Talk Radio. In 2000 Glades Media acquired WOKC AM1570 in Okeechobee, Florida. In 2003 Glades Media decided to improve our presence in the Fort Myers/Naples market by buying WAFZ-FM. WAFZ-FM is our first FM Spanish Station. WAFZ FM 92.1 has grown quickly to become one of our highest rated stations of the group. Together WAFZ AM1490 and FM92.1 make a powerful combination in the Fort Myers/Naples market for the Hispanic population. In 2009 WAFC FM99.5 moved to Palm Beach Gardens and now serves the entire Palm Beach County market with the best regional mexican music. 99.5FM is now WLLY 99.5FM LA LEY. Now with the addition of 96.9FM simulcasting AM1380 WWRF in West Palm Beach, 99.5 LA LEY WLLY and AM590 all serving the Hispanic population there is really only one choice in Palm Beach County. Glades Media is now adding another station to the Group. Glades Media has added WAFC-FM106.1 serving the Okeechobee, Fort Pierce and Vero Beach markets to the group. WAFC106.1FM together with WAFC 590AM will reach into the 96th largest radio market to serve the Hispanic population. |

Glades
Media Group consists of 7 radio stations located in
South Florida. We have stations in the West Palm
Beach, Fort Myers/Naples, Okeechobee/Ft. Pierce and Clewiston
markets. We even have a station in The Florida
Keys. One of our main goals is to help promote
local and national business in our areas. The
Glades Media Group boasts an amazing sales team at every
one of its radio stations.
Glades Media Company
has been serving South Florida since 1980 with our first
station, 99.5 WAFC-FM. In the late 80's we built WAFC
AM590. WAFC AM590 started out as a simulcast of
the WAFC-FM country format. Being unsure of what
to do with the station at the time, we gave the Spanish
format a try. WAFC AM590 took right off and became
a powerful outlet for the Hispanic population in South
Florida. In 1995 Glades Media acquired WAFZ AM1490
in Immokalee. WAFZ AM1490 allowed our Hispanic
voice to reach into the Ft. Myers/Naples market. The
popularity of AM590 and AM1490 prompted us to expand
into the West Palm Beach market with the purchase of
WWRF AM1380 in the late 90's. The combination of the
three stations allows us to serve South Florida from
Coast-to-Coast!
