Glades Media recently completed a merger that combined two popular radio stations in South Florida, WJNX-AM1330 and WLMX-FM106.1/95.1, bringing them under one unified brand, “La Ley 106.1/95.1.” This merger, which officially came into effect on December 1st, marked an important development in the regional Mexican radio landscape in the region.
Prior to the merger, Glades Media had ownership of the translator and was operating BMZ Broadcasting’s 106.1 WLMX through a Time Brokerage Agreement. As part of the merger, the call letters for 106.1 WLMX were changed to WJNX-FM.
With this consolidation, WJNX/WJNX-FM now stands as Glades Media’s third station operating under the “La Ley” brand in South Florida. This move follows the footsteps of their existing “La Ley” stations in the region, including “La Ley 99.5” WLLY-FM in Palm Beach Gardens, which primarily serves the West Palm Beach market, and “La Ley 92.1/99.7” on AM1490 WAFZ/99.7 W259CZ and 92.1 WAFZ-FM in Immokalee, which extends its reach to the Fort Myers area as well. This merger not only strengthens Glades Media’s presence in the South Florida radio landscape but also offers a broader platform for the “La Ley” brand to connect with its audience across the region.
