We are looking for a motivated Account Executive who wants to help local businesses grow while becoming part of one of the most recognized local media brands in the area.


Job Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining advertising relationships with businesses throughout the Clewiston, Belle Glade, LaBelle, and surrounding South Central Florida markets. This position focuses on generating new business, growing existing accounts, and creating successful advertising campaigns using radio, digital marketing, streaming, social media, and promotional opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with local businesses, building long-term relationships, and being active in the community.


Job Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities on a consistent weekly basis.
  • Create customized advertising campaigns using radio, streaming audio, digital marketing, social media, and event promotions.
  • Conduct client meetings and sales presentations with business owners and decision makers.
  • Develop proposals that identify client needs and provide creative business solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and in-person visits.
  • Work closely with programming, promotions, and production departments to create effective advertising campaigns.
  • Follow up on pending business and close opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Assist with collections and ensure accounts remain current.
  • Attend station promotions, remote broadcasts, community events, fairs, festivals, and client functions.
  • Complete sales reports, orders, and paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Stay informed on trends in radio, digital advertising, streaming audio, and social media marketing.
  • Maintain regular attendance and a professional image in the marketplace.
  • Represent Glades Media Company positively throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales, advertising, marketing, media, or digital sales experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of clients and personalities.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable prospecting and developing new business.
  • Ability to think creatively and provide effective marketing solutions for clients.
  • Positive attitude with strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales software helpful.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel throughout the market area.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for station events and promotions.

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary plus commission structure with strong income potential for motivated sales professionals.
