Job Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining advertising relationships with local businesses throughout the Fort Myers and Naples market. This position focuses on generating new business, growing existing accounts, and helping clients succeed through radio, digital, social media, event marketing, and promotional opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Prospect and develop new business on a consistent weekly basis.
  • Create customized advertising campaigns using radio, digital, streaming, social media, and promotional solutions.
  • Conduct client meetings and sales presentations with business owners and decision makers.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations that identify customer needs and business opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts through regular communication and in-person visits.
  • Work closely with programming, promotions, and production departments to create effective campaigns for clients.
  • Follow up on pending business and close sales opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Assist with collections and ensure accounts remain current.
  • Attend station events, remote broadcasts, community appearances, and client functions.
  • Complete sales reports, orders, and required paperwork on time.
  • Stay informed on trends in radio, digital marketing, streaming audio, and social media advertising.
  • Maintain regular attendance and a professional appearance.
  • Represent Glades Media Company positively within the community.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales, media, advertising, marketing, or digital sales experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of clients and personalities.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable prospecting and developing new business.
  • Ability to think creatively and provide marketing solutions for clients.
  • Positive attitude with strong closing and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales software helpful.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel throughout the market.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for station events and promotions.

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary plus commission structure with strong income potential for motivated sales professionals.
